ZONA HUKUM – Polres Bolaang Mongondow Timur (Boltim) melaksanakan operasi penertiban Pertambangan Emas Tanpa Izin (PETI) di Hutan Simbalang, Desa Tombolikat, Kecamatan Tutuyan, Senin (20/6).

Operasi penertiban dipimpin langsung Kabag Ops Polres Boltim, Kompol I ketut Mantra dan ketua tim Ipda Hasiberto, dengan melibatkan belasan personil Polres setempat.

Untuk sampai ke lokasi, tim harus menyusuri medan berat dengan berjalan kaki selama 2,5 jam. Ketika tiba di lokasi, tim tidak menemukan adanya penambang maupun aktifitas penambangan di hutan Simbalang.

Tim hanya menemukan bekas-bekas barak yang sudah lama ditinggalkan para penambang, serta membongkar sejumlah barak yang masih terpasang terpal di lokasi tersebut.

“Saat tiba di lokasi, kami tidak menemukan adanya aktifitas penambangan,” ujar Kabag Ops I Ketut Mantra SH.

ZONA BOLTIM– Bupati Bolaang Mongondow Timur (Boltim) Sam Sachrul Mamonto, angkat bicara soal pencabutan izin operasi pertambangan di wilayah KUD Nomontang, Desa Lanut, Kecamatan Modayag.

Menurut Sachrul, dirinya belum menerima surat resmi dari Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Republik Indonesia perihal pencabutan izin operasi KUD Nomontang.

“Sampai saat ini, saya belum melihat langsung fisik surat dari kementerian yang ditujukan ke Pemerintah Daerah (Pemda) Boltim,” kata Sachrul saat bersua dengan sejumlah awak media, Senin (20/6).

Masih kata Sachrul, jika memang KUD Nomontang bermasalah, sebaiknya yang diberikan sanksi adalah pengurus koperasinya, bukan aktivitas pertambangan yang ditutup, karena dampaknya kepada masyarakat yang selama ini bergantung hidup di pertambangan emas tersebut.

“Ada ribuan masyarakat yang mencari makan di lokasi tambang di wilayah KUD Nomontang. Jika tambang itu ditutup maka masyarakat yang akan menerima dampak kehilangan pekerjaan. Jadi sebaiknya pengurus koperasi yang harus diganti, bukan izin pertambangan yang dicabut,” ujarnya.

Dirinya menilai selama ini KUD Nomontang tidak transparan terkait pengelolaan koperasi pertambangan. Dirinya pun, meminta agar pengurus koperasi KUD Nomontang untuk dievaluasi.

“Jadi jangan hanya karena pengurus KUD Nomontang yang bermasalah, namun masyarakat yang menambang di lokasi pertambangan tersebut yang dikorbankan,” tuturnya.

Ia pun menegaskan, jika dirinya membela masyarakat penambang, bukan karena ada kepentingan di lokasi pertambangan KUD Nomontang.

“Apa yang saya lakukan ini semata-mata untuk membela masyarakat yang selama ini mencari makan di pertambangan itu, bukan karena saya punya usaha tambang disitu,” tutupnya. (*/guf)
